Painting an Oxford Street shop front during the Blitz
A student artist decorates a boarded up shop facade with dress designs. Rodger was a war correspondent for the American Life magazine during the London Blitz in 1940. Rather than cover the newsworthy events, he concentrated on capturing the impact of the bombing on everyday life as Londoners adjusted to the war around them.
