Skinheads posing in Wellington Square, Chelsea
Three young skinhead men posing for the camera in Wellington Square, Chelsea, 23 February 1985.
The 1980s youth sub-culture scene is primarily associated with the emergence of Goths and New Romantics, but older styles, such as the Skinheads, or 'Skins', shown here, also continued to thrive. Skins, a defiantly working-class sub-culture which emerged in the early 1970s, represent an agressive stance associated with racism and far-right politics.
