Piccadilly at night
A view of the West End at night from an entrance to Piccadilly underground station, July 1960. The statue of Eros is silhouetted against the illuminated signage. Collins opted to experiment with a 35mm handheld camera to shoot in Piccadilly. He aimed to immerse himself in and capture scenes energised with excitement, youth and romance.
