Salsa-Boogie
Flyer for a salsa event at HQ, a restaurant and nightclub at Camden Lock. Roberto Pla's Latin Ensemble tops the bill. The event was organised by Dominique Roome, a salsa disc jockey, who founded the production company Salsa Boogie in 1992 and ran it from her own home. Salsa Boogie On the Lock featured live bands and ran for seven years at HQ. It was popular with the growing number of Latin Americans who came to London during the 1990s, especially from Colombia.
