Letter
Letter from the Employment Officer of the Ex-Services Welfare Society, Temple Avenue, Farringdon, dated 3 March 1949. It was sent to potential employers of ex-service men 'suffering from war psychoses and neuroses' following World War II. The letter states: 'We are anxious to obtain the co-operation of Employers in the satisfactory resettlement of disabled ex-Service men in whom this Society is interested. Many of these men have been found to be suitable for such work as messengers, porters, liftmen, kitchen porters, handymen, caretakers, &c., and it would therefore be greatly appreciated if this Society could be notified of vacancies occurring in these or similar categories.'
