Printed Ephemera — 1976
A guide to the Race Relations Act 1976. Employment.
This leaflet was published by the Commission for Racial Equality. It is one in a series of guides to the Race Relations Act 1976. The leaflet explains how the Act strengthens the law against racial discrimination in employment in three areas: Direct discrimination, indirect discrimination and discrimination by means of victimisation. It details how employers, trade unions and partnerships must treat job seekers, employees, contract workers and trainees equally, regardless of their 'colour, race, nationality [...] or ethnic or national origins.'
