Printed Ephemera — 1985
Through the Polish Found in Great Britain to Free Poland
This flyer is printed in Polish on one side and in English on the other. It announces a bazaar held on Sunday 30 June 1985 at 'Ognisko Polskie', the Polish Hearth Club in Exhibition Road, South Kensington. The event was organised by Polish people in Britain to raise money 'to free Poland'. There were stalls selling food, clothes, books, antiques and Polish folk art objects. Additional attractions included a fortune teller, a café and a bar. The Polish Hearth Club was established in 1940 to serve Polish nationals in London seeking refuge during the war.
