Printed Ephemera — 1985
Handbill, flyer
This leaflet advertises products sold at Bestway cash and carry outlets. The owner of the Bestway Group is Sir Anwar Pervez, who was born in Rawalpindi in Pakistan and settled in London in the 1950s. Pervez ran a corner shop, then a chain of supermarkets, opening his first cash and carry in 1976. In 2002 the Guardian newspaper called Pervez 'Britain's richest Muslim'.
