Annette Crescent, Essex Road.
Annett's Crescent, off Essex Road, Islington,1990. Comprising 23 completely stuccoed houses, the crescent was built in 1819 by William Burnell Hue on land owned by Thomas James Annett. During the 20th century, these suburban houses, with their attics, basements and balconies, were divided into studio apartments. In recent years Islington Council has changed the spelling of 'Annett' to 'Annette' .
