Demolition workers at the Adelphi Terrace, c. 1935. Originally built as a row of 24 neoclassical houses by the Adam brothers in 1768-1772, Adelphi Terrace was replaced in 1936-1938 by the New Adelphi, a large Art Deco building designed by Collcutt & Hamp.
