Charing Cross Café, Charing Cross Road
Wolfgang Suschitzky took this photo of two men drinking in a cafe in Charing Cross. The cafes and restaurants around this area often stayed open late, offering refreshments to those who had come to enjoy the cinemas, theatres and other entertainments on offer in the heart of London's nightlife.
Suschitzky worked as a film cameraman in nearby Soho. In between his working hours, he created a series of photos depicting the activity in and around Charing Cross Road.
