Printed Ephemera — 1991
London Irish Centre 37th Annual Report 1991
Annual report of the London Irish Centre for 1991. The Centre, located in Camden Square, northwest London, was established around sixty years ago to provide for the welfare of London's Irish community. It particularly aims to help those who arrive in London unsupported and in difficult situations. The booklet explains that 'Our clientele for the most part reflect a very vulnerable section of society'. The Centre provides advice, temporary accommodation, employment referrals, counselling and repatriation. Increased unemployment and greater numbers of female and Irish Traveller clients were notable trends in 1991.
