Pie dish
Glazed stoneware individual pie dish used in a branch of Taylor's eel, pie and mash shops located in southwest London. The business was probably begun by Mary Ann Taylor who, by 1901 was running an eel pie business at 207 Hammersmith Road, W6. Eel, pie and mash shops provided working class Londoners with an affordable hot meal. The last Taylor's eel pie shop was sold in 1964.
