Working History — C. 1962
Kiosk, telephone kiosk
The K7 kiosk was designed by the renowned architect Neville Conder. His design was produced in prototype form in aluminium and a small number were installed in London in 1962. Unlike its cast-iron predecessor the K6, the K7 was mostly made of glass. The K7 never went into volume production however, owing to the unsustainability of aluminium which was prone to deterioration in British weather conditions.
