Dr F Barber arrived in London in 1949 as a Jewish refugee, having escaped with his wife from the former Czechoslovakia during the Second World War. From 1956 he practised as a general practitioner, receiving patients at his home surgery at 38 Brookfield Park, Highgate.
Between 1974 and 1980 Dr Barber also worked at the Health Centre, River Place, Essex Road, where he specialised in obstetrics. The Camden and Islington Family Practitioner Committee issued these prescription forms to Dr Barber.
