Presentation casket
This presentation casket commemorates the opening of London's first Strowger automatic telephone exchange at Holborn in November 1927. It contains ten gilted relays of the type used in the new exchange. The casket was made by the Automatic Telephone Manufacturing Company and presented to the Engineer-in-Chief of the General Post Office, Colonel T.F. Purves.
