Report upon openings in Industry Suitable for Disabled Sailors and Soldiers No XXVII The Glass Trades.
Report on openings in the glass trades suitable for the employment of disabled soldiers and sailors after World War I. The report was prepared by the National Trade Advisory Committee (Glass Trades) and gives a description of the glass industry with analyses of processes, wages and training. It was one of a series of reports published by the Ministry of Labour on the potential employment of those injured during the war. This report examines how the glass trades could train disabled men to work in the industry. Many of the tasks could be performed while seated, so that it was a possible occupation for people with leg injuries.
