The Telephone, the Home's Greatest Convenience
This handbill issued by the Telephone Development Association lists the charges for installing a telephone in the home and on business premises. Installation and incoming calls were free and local calls could be made for a penny. The advertisement is primarily aimed at the new domestic householder market with the slogan 'If you're not "on the phone" - you're living alone'.
