Printed Ephemera — 1981-1990
London Irish Centre community services
The London Irish Centre was originally established to provide advice and information to Irish immigrants living in London. This leaflet includes advice to those 'thinking of coming to London' including a checklist of essentials for the journey. It describes how, after the end of World War II, some Irish people decided to leave their homelands for 'an economically better way of life'. The centre operates from its premises in Camden offering advice, help to find employment, and a missing persons service to the Irish community.
The centre is still operating from its premises in Camden offering advice, help finding employment and a missing persons service to the Irish community.
