Printed Ephemera — 1981-1990
Irish fostering campaign
Brent Family Placement Service produced this leaflet asking Irish people to foster Irish children. The text inside is entitled 'Irish Children Need Irish Homes'. It states that: 'The Irish are the oldest and largest ethnic minority in Britain and constitute approximately 30% of Brent's population…This percentage is reflected in the number of children in the care of the local authority who are Irish born or have Irish born parents...Foster carers should be able to teach children about their Irish background and help them develop a positive self image...'
