Automatic Telephone
Card model of a telephone dial issued by the manufacturers of the 'Automatic Telephone' to promote the use of telephones in the home. In the centre of the square card is a diagram of a dial with cut out finger holes. Each finger hole is labelled with the name of a service e.g. 'baker, , 'taxi', 'doctor' andm as the dial is turned a series of pictures appear at the top relating to the labelled finger hole directly below. Surrounding the dial is a red sheet of square card printed with a drawing of a telephone and the caption 'with a telephone in the home, the world is at your elbow your life is made easier by the phone. every up to date tradesman is on the phone'. Below are printed a list of telephone costs.
