Summons
Police summons issued to Caroline Townsend to appear before Bow Street on 25th February 1909 to answer the charge of wilfully obstructing police at Old Palace Yard.
The summons relates to Caroline's arrest, along with over 100 other Suffragettes, whilst taking part in a deputation to Prime Minister Asquith on 24th February.
Caroline was joint honorary secretary of the Lewisham Branch of the Women's Social and Political Union.
