Printed Ephemera — 1905
Programme
A printed programme and menu for a banquet at the Guildhall on Saturday November 9 1905. Bound with red ribbon the menu is printed in a sepia tone on a cover of cream card and inside pages of cream paper. The cover outlines the details of the banquet and is decorated with patterns, headed with the Guildhall coat of arms.
Inside the menu outlines the food and drinks served, the programme of music and the members of the Lord Mayor and Sheriff's Committee 1905. Included in the meal were 'Turtle Soup' and 'Fillets Turbot sauce Malaga' to start, poultry dishes of 'Casserole of Partridges' and 'Casserole of Pheasants' and a variety of sweets such as ''Gateaux Royales aux Cerises'.
