Instructions issued by the Navy Office to the Store Keeper and Clerk of the Cheque at the Woolwich Dockyard. Dated December 1693.
'James Dorsett 8th December 1693 for services from him Oak kneed and stand[ards]/ By ye Principall Officers and Com[missioners] of their Ma[jesties] Navy/ These are to direct and require you to recieve into their Majesties stores under your charge from Mr. James Dorsett about Twenty loads of oake kneeds and standards, none under four feet and to meet at eight foot one with an other at the role of three shillings ye foot, being bought of him by Mr. Joseph Bentt the Purveyor and make ont a bill for the same as is usuall and for so doing this shal be your warrant. Dated at the Navy Office this 8th December 1693. Signed by R. Haddock (Sir Richard Haddock 1629-1715 Controller of the Navy 1690-1715), E Dummer (1692-1699 Surveyor of the Navy), H. Killgrew (?)
