Evening Standard
The Evening Standard headline, published on the eve of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, June 1953 declares 'London Camps Out on Coronation Eve'. The coronation coach travelled a five-mile processional route from Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square. Many camped out on London's streets the night before to secure their place along the route.
