The Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
The Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on 2 June 1953 was a great occasion for Londoners. The ceremony took place in Westminster Abbey with a great procession from Buckingham Palace to the Abbey. Thousands camped out overnight to see the procession.
This 5 shiling ticket gave admission to seats on the balcony of Carlton House Terrace on the Mall for viewing the Coronation procession as it passed.
