Social History — 1991-1994
Packaging, food packaging
This box contained Old El Paso taco shells, a traditional Mexican-style dish of fried corn pancakes. The product was bought in the Safeway supermarket in Islington. Old El Paso was established in 1938 and first brought their food products to Britain in 1984. They have since become the top Mexican food brand in the country. The products are principally made in Spain, but the name refers to El Paso in Texas.
