Kopke's Ports
Large billboard advertisement promoting Kopke's Port. The graphic includes an image of a woman with butterfly wings sitting on a bottle of port. The flying woman motif was often used by advertising agencies in the 1920s, particularly to advertise alchoholic drinks.
Port from the Douro wine shipping company founded by the German diplomat Cristiano Kopke first arrived in London in 1678.
