Social History — 1904
Whistle
Cast lead alloy penny whistle in the shape of a euphonium. Decorated with embossed flowers, the metal was probably originally copper-plated but now darkened to bronze with time and handling. Purchased for one penny (1d) from a London street trader on 28th October 1904.
