Mechanical penny toy, boy and dog
Lithographed tinplate toy of boy and dog standing on wheeled base. The dog and boy have matching toy helmets and carry weapons, the boy carries a sword and the dog a rifle and ammunition pouch. Both figures are attached to a rocker in the centre of the four wheeled yellow base that enables them to move up and down. Purchased for one penny (1d) from a London street trader on 19th December 1905.
