Spindlewhorl
An Iron Age ceramic circular, flat, earthenware spindlewhorl dating 700 BCE to 50 CE. This spindlewhorl has a replica spindle and wool.
Spindlewhorls were the weights that sat at the end of the spindle to add momentum and tension when wool was spun. The wool was plucked from sheep.
