Shrapnel, bomb tail fin
Tail fin from a German made incendiary bomb that fell on London during World War II. At the height of the Blitz up to 100,000 such incendiary bombs could fall on London in a single night. Incendiary bombs did not explode but burst into flames. The bomb cases were designed to open at altitude scattering small bomblets that would then be ignited by an explosive charge.
