The Sweated Industries' Exhibition
Catalogue of the Sweated Industries' Exhibition of 1906. Price 6d. Organised by the Women's Trade Union and sponsored by the Daily News the exhibition, held at the Queen's Hall from May 2nd to 29th was intended to acquaint the public with the evils of sweated labour. The catalogue includes a description and photograph of all the sweated industries represented in the exhibition, including tailoring, shoemaking & sack-making. Following the exhibition, middle-class reformers successfully campaigned for the introduction of a minimum wage.
