Prehistoric — Modern; 1994
Replica, dagger
Replica flint 'beaker' dagger manufactured for the People before London gallery (opened in November 1994). It is not based on any particular example in the collections but an original would date to circa 2000 BC. The flint blade was produced by Jon Humble. The handle, made from strips of pine with wooden pommel, was manufactured by Phil Harding. Birch bark resin was used to hold the handle in place.
