Replica, sword
Replica sword manufactured for the People before London gallery which opened in November 1994. It is not based on any particular example in the Museum's collection but an original example would date to circa 400-200BC. The blade is made from a single piece of wrought iron. It has a biconvex cross section and gradually tapers to a point. The hilt is made from a single piece of wood.
