Discovery exhibition
Leaflet promoting an exhibition about 50 years of Antarctic exploration onboard RRS Discovery as part fo the Festival of Britain, 1951. The exhibition included artificial snow, tents and polar exploration equipment. The Discovery was built for the Antractic expedition by Captain Robert Falcon Scott imade between 1901 and 1904. It had been used as the headquarters for the Sea Scouts since 1937, but was transferred to the Royal Navy in 1953.
