The Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales, Llanrwst, Diary of Chief Events
Leaflet promoting the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales held in the small town of Llanrwst during the Festival of Britain, 1951. The National Eisteddfod is an ancient festival of Welsh culture. The traditional ceremonies were held in the main pavilion, including the Crowning of the Bard. There were also competitions for music, drama and poetry. Gorsedd ceremonies were held in the open air around a druidic circle of stones.
