G. Gamble & Son Funeral Directos & Monumental Masons
This bill, issued by G Gamble & Son, funeral directors and monumental masons, of 13 Walton Street, Chelsea, records the cost of funeral of John Saunders. The blue watermark receipt has been stuck on top of the typed details of the cost of the funeral and a two penny orange postage revenue stamp confirms receipt of payment on 5 April 1945. A related Gamble bill in the museum's collection refers to the burial of another member of the Saunders family at Kensal Green cemetery in 1901.
