Declaration
Declaration of Duke of Somerset's authorisation for a dividend payment to Thomas Elder dated 22 April 1723. Text reads "Please to pay to Thomas Elder My Dividend due at Midsummer 1722. On £5084.8.10- South Sea Stock, and for your so doing this shall be your sufficient Warrant. (Signed) Somerset." Addressed "To Mr Charles Lockyer Accomptant to the South Sea Company".
