Brass printing type, seventeen spell out 'The Museum of London', three are blank space bands. Manufactured and distributed by Ludlow Industries (UK) Ltd., Conbar House, Mead Lane, Hertford, SG13 7AT. Used for printing captions and headings, due to durability, for The Guardian at Grays Inn Road, London. Part of the group of hot metal printing equipment given to the Museum by the Guardian newspaper in 1988.
