Printed Ephemera — 1926-1930
Weldon's fancy dress for ladies and gentlemen
This catalogue of 300 fancy dress patterns for parties and balls was produced by Weldons of Southampton Street. Themes and costumes were popular at fashionable 1920s parties. These patterns include designs drawn from historical, theatrical and international contexts as well as contemporary ones including 'New Art Student' and 'Buy British Goods'. More eccentric ideas include a costume design of a window, a spring salad and a Klu Klux Klan member.
