Telegram sent by the Union General Secretary to the 'Father of Machine Managers Chapel' at The Star newspaper in Bouverie Street on 3 May 1926, the day before the General Strike began. The message gives workers the order to strike by stating 'By Order General Council: No Machine Manager To Start Work Tuesday May 4th'. Typed in black and purple on pink paper.
