In Memoriam

This sixteen page printed small booklet contains the burial service or ' the order for the burial of the dead'. It has a blue impressed cover with 'IN MEMORIAM.' in gilded lettering and a central cross. Such booklets were distributed by the funeral director W S Bond, whose chief office was at 21-22 Shepherd's Bush Green, W12 but with many further branches across west London. Details of the funeral and burial of Alice Rachel Peach are printed on the page opposite where the order of service begins. She died on 5 April 1935 , aged 62 and interred Chsiwick (Old) Cemetery.

Chiswick Old Cemetery was founded in 1888 and lies alongside the old graveyard of St Nicholas Paris Church where William Hogarth is buried.
