Newham Asian Women's Project

Annual report produced by the Newham Asian Women's Project (NAWP) in the form of a double-sided illustrated poster. The NAWP was established to address the issue of domestic violence within the Asian community. They have been providing information, advice, support , counselling and training for Asian women since 1986. On one side of the poster is a colour illustration of three Asian women captioned 'Fighting the Bad Guys'. On the reverse are printed nine illustrations referring to the case of a woman called Meena showing how the charity helped her and her children escape from domestic violence by offering assistance with rehousing, educational oppportunities and ongoing advice and support. The poster also includes an Annual Report for the year ended 31 March 1999. The poster was designed by Teak and Sonia Pang.
