Welcome to the Museum of London
This Museum of London publicity pamphlet from 1998 lists forthcoming exhibitions and displays in the galleries in Bengali and English. A large Bengali speaking population lives in and around Whitechapel, near to the museum. The pamphlet also highlights objects in the permanent collection linked to different cultural groups in London. The image on the front cover is a detail from a photograph of a group of Indian suffragettes marching in a London demonstration in 1911.
