Book entitled 'Islamic Science: An Illustrated Study', by Seyyed Hossein Nasr, published in 1976. It contains a map of the Muslim world. The book was published to coincide with the Festival of the World of Islam, held in London in 1976. It traces the history of Islamic science, which was the most advanced scientific culture in the world during its golden age from the 7th to the 13th century. There are chapters examining subjects such as cosmology, geography, natural history, mathematics, physics and medicine.
