Printed Ephemera — 1951
Have a lovely day in London
This fold-out map of London was produced by the National Savings Committee for the Festival of Britain, 1951. The map is marked with places of interest in the capital in the vicinity of the South Bank Exhibition site. The leaflet is aimed at overseas visitors to the Festival. It has a patriotic tone, emphasising the tolerance of the British people. Attracting overseas tourists to Britain was a key aim of the Festival to help boost the ailing post-war economy.
