Social History — 1940-1945
Label, injury label
This label was used by the emergency and rescue services during World War II. It was tied to unconscious or fatally injured victims of bombing raids and was intended to assist with the future identification of the casualty. Printed in the style of a form, it has sections that the rescuing officer would fill in by hand such as where the victim was found and the apparent cause of death or injury.
