This passport belonged to Malka Fiszer (Malka Fisher), and was issued to her by the Polish Consul General on 15 January 1926. Inside the passport are her photograph, stamps for travel to Belgium and a visa for the UK lasting a year from 29 July 1926. Malka Fiszer and her husband Juda Hersz Fiszer (Juda Hersz Fisher) moved to London from Warsaw, Poland in the early years of the 20th century. Juda was a skilled umbrella-maker and, in 1907, established an umbrella business in the heart of the Jewish East End at 45 Hanbury Street, Spitalfields.
