Seating plan for a banquet of the Association of Municipal Corporations held at Hotel Cecil on 25 March 1909.
Included in the guests were representatives from a variety of towns, such as the Town Clerk and two Councillors from Nottingham and the Mayor and M.P for Exeter.
Opened in 1896 the Hotel Cecil was a spacious building, comprising of 800 bedrooms. Its Grand Hall could seat 600 people for dinner and its Victoria Hall could accommodate 500 dancers. The Cecil was demolished in 1930.
